Residents are now allowed to return. There is no alert in place for this property however, if the situation changes the order may need to be reinstated.
Emergency Management BC has new information available for residents to consider when returning to their property after flooding. Some areas of importance include the safety of drinking water, safety regarding electrical and gas utilities, food safety and caution surrounding removal of furniture and building materials https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2017TRAN0174-001191
The Emergency Operation Centre is working to have assessments done on all properties under Evacuation Orders, with the goal of returning those properties back to their owners as soon as possible.
The Emergency Social Services Reception Centre at the Salvation Army, 1480 Sutherland Avenue (corner of Burtch Road and Sutherland Avenue) is currently processing the most recent residents put on Evacuation Order from Holiday Park Beachview and Park Place buildings and the Turtle Bay Lodges.
It is recommended that anyone with sandbags already in place should leave them in place even if it appears that stream and water levels are dropping. Conditions and weather can change without notice resulting in a return to high water levels and potential flooding.
Due to washouts and deteriorating road conditions, travel is not recommended on Chute Lake Road.

Local states of emergency remain in effect for the City of Kelowna, the City of West Kelowna and for the Fintry Delta in the Regional District of Central Okanagan to address flooding.

People and pets should stay back from creek banks which can be extremely slippery and can be subject to erosion. Be aware that water levels may unexpectedly rise. Boaters should also watch for floating debis flowing into area lakes from tributaries.
