Reception Center Set-Up for Evacuees Outside of RDCO
Emergency Management BC has requested the Regional District of the Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Center to provide temporary group accommodation for up to 1,000 people on Evacuation Order due to fires in the Columbia Cariboo Regional District, Thompson Nicola Regional District and Regional District Okanagan Similkameen.
Emergency Support Services has set-up a Reception Center at 1480 Sutherland Avenue in Kelowna, B.C..
Hours of operation:
Monday - Friday, 4pm - 6pm
(closed Thursday, Aug. 25)
All people on Evacuation Order must register at the Reception Center to receive assistance.
Evacuees that have any questions or require information regarding accessing ESS services in Kelowna, should call 250-469-8490.
